thanks for the info, so this wont have any negatifve impact on the vehicle and will it change anything such as sound?

The snorkel is good for drawing air from the relatively cool fenderwell area but that's about it. When you remove it, you open up the side of the airbox a bit but you're also going to let warmer underhood air in. When combined with a K&N drop-in air filter you might gain a few HP.

In terms of sound you won't notice any difference at part throttle but at WOT the tone from under the hood will be marginally deeper and more guttural in nature. Sound is a very subjective thing but most people find the change in character most welcome.

They will all give you around the same gains... Just depends if you want looks or functionality. Bbk=functionality and jlt=looks

Your K&N is better than the BBK , trust me , the plastic tube will not absorb heat as the metal units do

I would estimate that the silencer removal and K&N filter would possibly add between 3-5 hp at the wheels. I don't have any dyno sheets to prove this, so take it with a grain of salt. But ... for the few ponies you'll pick-up at the cost of a K&N filter ($50???), it's a decent deal when you compare it to pullies, TB & plenum etc. And besides ... you'll have to replace the filter anyways.
