i have a friend that is having some wiring issues with his car, the car is an 88, but is suppossed to be a cali car.(mass air) the problem is some ass hat that had it before him butchered the engine harness badly. my question is what harness could i use (what year) to replace it with if i cant repair it?

who ever owned this car before put a security system on it that was tied into every light, the door locks, the horn, the fuel pump.........pretty much every thing.

likely 88/89 would be your best bet for a harness. I forget the exact reasons, but I believe they started changing a lot of electrical things in 90. those are a dime a dozen in cali, just hit up a few junkyards and snag the harness you need.
