Did the 95 mustang rear disc to 90 mustang. Can’t use the 95 caliper brackets as they are about a 1/2 inch off so I have to use washers to bolt the caliper on so it lines up. Is there a special bracket made for this swap? Please advice! Thanks richard

I'm guessing you are using sn95 lenght axles and fox offset brackets or vice versa.

To answer your question, yes they do make brackets, but to recommend which once depends on what parts you are currently using.

I’m using 90 8.8. 95 axles, brakes and brackets the caliper is about 1/2 off so I used washers but I don’t like that.

I did it with the stock brackets mounted on the inside. You have to notch the bracket and radius the area of the bracket that sits around the tube to clear the weld. This was a fox 8.8, SN95 caliper bracket and custom Moser fox length 5 lug axles that have the correct hat diameter to accept the SN95 rotors. There was shims on my setup.

So you cut the brackets and put them on the inside?

That setup should work as is an not be off at all.

How exactly is it off? Does the axle stick out too far or not far enough?

Check out my build thread I think I show some pictures on how I cut them. There also should be some threads on this subject. I for sure was not the first to do this.

Time out. Before you cut anything, answer one question.

How is it off. Does the axle stick out too far, or does it not stick out far enough?

If you stuck a set of 95 axles, brackets and calipers on a 1990 rear, it should all bolt up fine and nothing should be off. We should really identify the issue here before setting you off to cut parts up, or buy new parts.

Do you have photos?
