I just passed the 36,000 mile mark on the odometer so my warranty is now void, which means it is time to upgrade. My car is completely stock besides a K&N air filter. Wanted to know what some of you guys have on your 02 stangs that you are really glad you bought. On a side note, is it worth upgrading my K&N filter to a K&N CAI, or will I not see a performance difference?

You didn't say whether its a 5spd or an auto. This is the order I'd do it in, assuming a 5spd.

Shifter
Gears
Exhaust
Springs
MAF-Plenum

or, if you have a little more money to spend:

Shifter
Supercharger
Exhaust
Springs

I just want to say, you have more self control than I do. I think i did my first mod, when I had 900 miles on the odometer. I am pretty sure my warranty will be void way before I hit 36 thousand.

My car has just over 18k miles (see my sig for mods). I put bbk long tubes on it before my first oil change... A warranty is like job security, it doesn't exist.

I put exhaust and gears on my car first. Followed by pullies, then the intake parts. Springs are awaiting install right now. After the springs, probably rims/tires and then some shocks and sub frames. Then... a supercharger!

Just so you all know, I have an automatic. I would probably prefer to go natural instead of power adder because I don't want to kill my gas mileage too much. Thanks for all of your replies! By the way what is T/A? I don't know what that stands for.

Get subframe connectors. You will notice a difference in ride and handling and your car will not develop a lot of rattles and creaks as you drive more and more miles (which I can see you are not afraid of doing).

Also, I got a decent gain from my K&N FIPK induction kit, but that was over the stock filter. My dad didn't realize his '01 GT had a drop-in K&N when he upgraded to a FIPK, but he still got gains (although probably not as much as I did). Still, the FIPK was worth it in my opinion.

T/A = Timing Adjuster. You get a good gain from what I hear but you will need higher octane (apparently you get better mileage though when you bump up your timing to the point where you need high octane)

FRPP 4.10's
Bassani CB, O/R X, Mid Lengths.

The sound is awesome, and the gears really help out to get the revs up quick. My gas mileage stayed the same with my 5-Speed. I'm at 23K right now, when I hit the end of my warranty it's T&J time.
