Hey, that's awesome, I'm lucky to not to be directly affected by the fires except the ashes in the air. I do have a bunch of friends and acquaintances that have been affected. A lot of my friends were evacuated from the san diego area.
A few friends were discussing, and were kinda surprised that we havent heard of other states sending a lot of help. Its great to hear that they are.
The Santiago fire is near me. I'm just south of Rancho and the "plan" is to hold the fire at Ortega Highway. Well if that is THE plan then the fire is going to go raging past my house. I'm not too cool with the plan...
Aside from that, the weather cooled off, humidity is way up, and the wind settled down. In fact it drizzled some today and now the optimistic forcast is that they'll have this nasty blaze that is only 30% contained fully contained in 72 hours. I hope this is the case and that the weather cooperates. I think the smoke has cleared enough for them to fly tankers on the south edge of the fire finally.
