What will it take to run a B303 cam or if possible an E303 CAM with 1.7 rockers in my 306. B303 Cam has a .480 valve lift and E303 has a .498 lift, not too many people around here that are into engine building so I need as much help as possible. Its stock right now and Im looking more budget than explosive. Just getting a plan out right now to make part buying a lot easier. Thanks alot

The B cam is the more aggressive cam. It is very similar to the X cam with less lift. You should be able to just put it in and go even with 1.7s.

Any camshaft upgrade requires a valve train upgrade. Stock valve springs = stock camshaft.

If you're changing the cam, get one that provides the lift you want while using 1.6's. 1.7's are a compromise that isn't necessary when you install a new cam. They are harder on the valvetrain and many times cause valvetrain geometry issues.
There is really no need to use them since you can get a cam with bigger lobes to accomplish the same thing. This is a much better solution.

go to AFM (anderson ford motorsports). They have pretty damn good cams. You dont really have to go with an alphabet cam. They also sell Xtreme energy cams that are for 1.7's

That wasn't something Ford was overly concerned about in 1993. They used 1.7s in the Cobra.

I would scrap the camshaft idea.
