Basic specs say good to 6k rpm. But that depends on how it was installed and other factors. Factory tach is usually off by a few hundred rpm.

I think you're just like jrichker...

He has all his tech answers saved as a quick reference that he can simply link to should the situation call for it.

In your case: "Need more info, trans type, running fuel pressure? Any codes?"
I call the above your Karthief white paper...
And....
What does the transmission have to do with the engine nosing over at 5200 RPM?

I've driven a GT40P combo with a b303 cam and can remember that combo would love to rev to the moon.

How was the cam installed? Straight up or advanced?

There's so much it could be that most of these will be guesses.

What MAF are you running? If you are running the stock MAF its 55mm and that could easily limit top end rpm

Alas, to use my name in the same sentence as jrichker raises my ego far above my abilities, I felt the need for more info to give the more experienced (like yourself) a better chance to offer good advice.
And I have no idea if/how a transmission would effect his problem, if I knew it would cause you to respond I would ask more often

You might be starving for fuel at the upper rpms. Any way to borrow and put a fuel gauge on the car and stick it under the wiper and see?

That's a lot of pomp and injector for that set up. The injectors you can probably get away with but the pump is way too big will be recirculating fuel and it'll get hotter and hotter. I suggest a walbro GSS 225 pump

When I read up on pumps, I chose a 190 lph for my 347. You shouldnt go any bigger than that. If you havent installed the giant pump, I would sell it or return it and get a Walbro 190.

Not the the B cam is know for aggressive lobes, but, I'm wondering what valve springs you are running?
float/bounce?
I believe the Bcam wants ~120lbs seat ~295lbs open...
I think the original/older GT40x heads typically have 80-90lbs on the seat, and doubt that relates to 295 open.
I would pull a spring and check it out before I went much further down the rabbit hole.

I wonder what the OP means when he says it's falling off. Yeah, I think drop off beyond 5200 should be expected.

But, if it is falling off more quickly than it should, I agree then the injectors and pump are likely candidates.
