If you dont do cam timing all the time one tends to forget this stuff so please help.

This is a Comp cam # 34-518-8
Im running a blower so I want somewhere around 112 separation.
The cam card says on the bottom that " these specs are for cam installed at 108 intake CL" Please see spec card I posted.
Is the Center Line the same as Lobe separation??? What does this mean

CL is halfway between intake open and intake close. It can be adjusted by advancing or retarding the cam. Lobe separation is number of degrees between intake and exhaust CL, and is ground into the cam and cannot be adjusted w/o regrinding the cam. Most cam websites have a diagram that explains it all.

So why does Camp Cams have to be different as they give me the duration at .05 and .006 and other cams give it at .050 .
So what is my duration at .050 . This cam seems to be alot smaller then there tech told me.

0.05" = 0.050". Nothing different, there is just a zero missing.

The lift at .050" lift is the number to pay attention to when comparing cams. I once installed a cam with an advertised duration of 290 degrees. Once I checked the cam card (after purchasing, unfortunately) I found it had a .050" lift of 230 degrees, or about what my current 268XE has at .050".

The cam you got is a good choice. If you had 275 degrees@.050" you would have waaay to much overlap for a blower on the street.
