Cam & Fuel Pressure

This is a two question combo..

First of all, I'm looking for the best fuel pressure setting (see signature). The reason is, it takes 7 or 8 revolutions, whether it's hot or cold before it starts and when it does, it sputters a little bit, then smoothes out. The fuel pressure is currently set at 41psi.

Secondly, in RPM ranges of 1000 to 2000, the engine seems to bog a little. I'm not sure if the bogging is more related to the cam because of low engine load, because at higher RPMs, it disappears and the car runs great.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I have an E cam and my car bogs down low too. I fixed most of the bogging by playing with the timing. Also make sure your distributor is not a tooth off.

Sorry I can't help with the fuel pressure.

i know with my car, the bbk crap regulator bleeds off fuel pressure very fast. this can cause excessive cranking. i've gotten around it by clicking the key on and off a couple of times until it builds enough pressure. (i have a pillar mounted puel pressure gauge).
