Hey everyone, I'm going with an SHM 102700 Cam, SHM 4.6L 2V P.I. Stage 1 Heads, SHM Valvesprings, FRPP 42 lb injectors, and the Accufab T/b and plenum combo. My question though, is if the Reichard Racing Intake will benefit me for the money with my setup? If not any other ideas to compliment what I'm doing with my 01 GT?

is that all your gonna do for now? if so you don't need 42lb injectors....stock will do fine. 24lb if you must upgrade. And the reichard intake is really a race intake for high power high rpm cars and would be a waste of money for you.

I havent heard very good many things about SHM products or customer service. If I were u I would consider getting my parts elsewhere. I would suggest either VT or Fox Lake. VT has some awesome cams also. I've heard good things about the Fox Lake P-51 intake also that would be my intake of choice. The fastest 2v NA GT runs a prototype of the P-51.

Yes I would suggest going with VT or Fox lake. The FoxLake p51 intake would be a lot better for you because the RR only makes power in the higher RPMS. 5.5k+

Yea screw SHM. I would go to Houston Performance they got good stuff and their cams are kick ass. My buddy got cams from them for his 97 Gt and the car has mean idle and just sits there and shakes at the red light its bad ass.

As for the intake just use a PI intake and if you want to upgrade just grab a bullit intake and get it ported.

we need more info on your setup to help. but one thing for sure is to stay away from SHM. call www.modularpowerhouse.com they know their stuff, stand behind their work, & their heads flow the most on the market

Yea modularpowerhouse and modulardepot both have great stuff also.

96WhiteNight you know where I can find any videos/dyno graphs of some of Houston Performance cams? I want to do cams soon and right now I'm leaning towards VT stage 2's but am open to alternatives.

I think the price structrue at VT or fox lake is better.

If memory serves VT was started by ex SHM people. I could be wrong on that.

VT cams also out perform SHM cams. Dyno proven. I belive the comps do as well.

If I were doing a N/A car I would proably run vt stage II or custom cams, MPH heads, p-51 intake.

this is the best price vs performance setup out there right now IMO. Unless you could get a package deal from vt or fox lake. but there heads as priced are like $200 more than MPH. I would aslo ask the guys at VT if you would benifit from a custom grind rather than the off the shelve grind

Thanks for the info so far guys, I really appreciate it. Some of the mods I already have, but my full setup, which I plan to complete in the next 2 months will be...

FRPP 4.10's, FRPP Aluminum Flywheel, FRPP Aluminum Driveshaft, FRPP Tranny Cooler, P.I. 3000 Stall Torque Converter, 31 Spline Axles, Jerry Mod, Mac Jet Hot Long Tube Headers, Mac Catted H Pipe, Flowmaster Mufflers 40's, the heads, cams, valve springs, accufab combo and the injectors I mentioned, MM Caster/Camber Plates, MM Full Length Subframe Connectors, MM Drag Race Adj. Rear Lower Control Arms, Tokico Illumina Drag Struts, Tokico Illumina Shocks, H&R Sport Springs rear pair, MM Panhard Bar, MM Heavy Duty Torque-arm, MM Adjustable Rear Swaybar, MM Front Coil-Over Kit, Hypercoil springs.

Also with this setup, what do you think my 1/4 time would be?
