CAM INSTALL AND NOW TICKING NOISE

I have a 2002 gt and installed a set of comp cams. after the install i know have a knock noise only at idle as soon as you give it a little gas the noise is gone. i was told it is just the cam tensioner at idle slapping. has this happened to anyone else????

Get it fixed...my buddies car, the one I started that thread for, had to get a new motor!

is it a possibility that it could be a cam tensioner?? the reason i ask is that my noise goes away at any rpm besides idle, that forum says that there noise stays and that they hear it at different rpms

..02 GT..so your motor is a Romeo right?? 11 bolt valve covers??
