Cam Install Prices.

I know there was a recent group of people who just bought some cams, so i was wonderin how much it cost to have it installed. I was lookin at gettin some cams but i got to see if its in my budget cause i figure the install price was high. If someone could tell me how much it cost to install the cams that'd be great. It'd be that package deal from rpm-mustangs that comes with the springs and pushrods, dont know if that effects install price though.

I don't know install price, the springs and pushrods shouldn't change the price since there in the motor already. I would say it wou;ld have to be pricey. I bought one of those cams, except I'm installing my own cam to save on labour cost. I figure it isn't too difficult, but it does look time consuming.

Try phoning a local shop that does engine building and blueprinting and stuff and see what they quote you to install a cam?

I'm installing my own too.
I belive the costs are 400 for the cam
and 500 for the cam and springs job.
Better to do the work urself imo.

300-400 bucks for a cam install~ if you dont put on new heads and intakes you will just have to pay 400 more to have it all done again....

You don't need to take off our heads to put in the cam. Still either way, its a lot smarter to do the intake/heads at the same time if you plan on doing it.
