I currently have the valve covers off the car and I am finishing the PI intake swap. I have the covers off to scrub them down and replace the gaskets(one side is leaking a bit). I have these PI cams just sitting here and was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to throw these in without the AFM Cam Tool or taking the front coer off. The tool looks like it just holds the gear up from fallng down in the cover so if I can have a friend use something to hold the gear steady then I should be able to just do the swap right?? Any body have a cam tool and know exactly how it acts so tht I may possibly figure a way to do this??? I would just dig in and try it and if the cover had to come off then it wouldn't be a prob, but right now I'm in my barracks parking lot and don't really want to mess up and take the cover off there. thank
