My boy is doing a Trick Flow top end cam install TFS 1 on his bolt on 302 and he asked me if he needed to use the thrust washer that came with the kit. The stock cam didnt have one and the retainer plate was flush with the block. Is this a situation where you measure with the timing set on to decide whether to use it or not?

Yes, the Trickflow timing set requires the use of the bronze thrust washer. You also need to countersink the retaining plate and install the supplied screws.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
