I have a little dent on the very back of the bearing jounal on my cam. I am pissed at myself for not storing it in a better location in the house. But all the lobes are ok. Is the cam ok to use or I have to get another one? It is a minimal dent on the edge of the bearing journal. I figured since it is on the edge it would be ok. It is on the edge facing the front of the engine. I was getting everything lined up to go to the machinist so this could be a delay.

Is it a dent or something like a small rust pit? Actually never mind. After looking at your signiture I think that if you have to ask-you have to get a new cam. You have a nice, fairly expensive, mill. Why take any chances? If was a 105,000 stocker like most then I'd say run it! Not in your case. I say "run to the speedshop!!!!"
