Cam question

If i got this
m6250_ford.jpg

how much would I have to pay a shop to install it. Also how much would i be getting out of this hp and torque wise. It said 5 speed transmisstion recommended. Does this mean I shouldn't get one on my AODE? The current setup I'm planning on will be pullies and a cold air. The headers and x pipe will have to wait.

-thanx

The money you spend total (cost of cam and labor) will not be worth it...you need some nice heads and intake to take advantage of an aftermarket cam...

Those pullies/headers/xpipe will give you a better all-around gain and a nice sound :nice:

What is that the B-cam?

Nah, its the X.

I think the one that would work best for my aode would be the E.
Personally, I think any aftermarket cam and the stock converter don't work well together.

If it were me, I'd put a manifold on it. Remember, you don't want that lumpy cam sound. It blows your cover. :)

I agree and feel that your car will be slower with a cam and the stock converter than with the stock cam. I'd spend money on a good converter first. You should see a .4-.5 second drop in ET's from a good converter.
