Hello all,

I drive a stock camshaft for ease of daily driving. I have 1.72 pedestal mount rocker arms to help out a bit. Here is a basic list of what I have under the hood:

Intake:
K&N air filter
Cold air intake kit
C&L 73mm MAF
Accufab 70mm TB & EGR spacer
Edelbrock Performer intake manifold

Exhaust:
1-5/8 Hooker unequal shorty headers
Mac ProChamber H-pipe 2.5
Mac dual cat-back exhaust system

Valvetrain:
Trick Flow twisted wedge cylinder heads
1.72 SVO roller rocker arms
FMS Double roller timing chain
Keith Black flat top pistons

Fuel System:
24 lb. FMS injectors
Holley fuel pressure regulator
BBK 190 lph. Fuel pump

Other bolt-ons:
Underdrive pulley system
Edelbrock Victor water pump
Powermaster 140 amp alternator
Smog and A/C eliminator kits

So, I like the fact that my car is easy to drive but I would like to put an aftermarket cam in. Given my current setup, what is the best cam for my configuration that won't affect the ease of driving too much? Any thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Bill

Everybody is going to suggest something different. If it were me, I'd call comp or any other cam company and give them the list you made above. They'll take into account everything you need and recommend something for you.

Sounds like you're looking for something in the .450-.500 lift range, and 215 to 220 degrees duration at 0.050 lift. That would still be mild and streetable, and give you more power than your factory cam.
