In the coming weeks I will or already have the following parts available:

1992 5.0L stock block+bottom end
Edelbrock 1405 (600cfm carb)
Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake
Edelbrock Performer Alum Heads (ported + polished)
shorty headers
2.5" Exhuast, Flowmaster 40 series
MSD 6AL
Mallory Unilite

1992 AOD Transmission (stock other than converter)
B+M 2400 Stall Converter
3.80 locking rear
17" Wheels (245/45/17) all around...

What kind of roller cam/roller rockers would you guys recommend?? I am going to be putting a/c on it before it is dropped back in as well. This wont be a daily driver, but I would like it to be civil enough to drive as if it were, with the occaisional 1/4mile or Auto-X thrown in. I was thinking I would like to see low 14's or high 13's with it (if it seems possible)

comp cams xe266 hr with 1.6 roller rockers. That might break you into the 12s.

HOWEVER: if the heads have a 202 intake valve, you wont be able to use them at all...with any cam...unless you have the stock pistons notched.

These should be the 1.90's, I am buying them from you Im trying to get an idea what to get to finish the engine off with. High 12's would be nice...

bwahahaha....

Funny.

I misread, thought it said you were getting 202s. the xe266hr and the 1.6 roller rockers i suggested will work GREAT!!

Your carb is apart right now. I didnt find any problems with it other than it being a little dirty and some of the gaskets in it being very brittle. I should be coating and reassembling it tonight! I will try and get you some pics as I finish things up

Cool, I went doing some research (I love working in IT!) and a lot of people are using that combo, I think I will join the minions. I can't wait for my frame to be finished so I can drive her again...
