Alright SN.. Let's here it.. I don't want any "sugarcoating".

I will be ordering (90% sure) VT Stage II cams and Manley Valvesprings within the next couple months. I had an offer for $500 for a guy to install everything for me, taking 12 hours to do it. However, no warranty would be going with it so it'd be just as covered if something messed up as if I did it myself.

Question is, I know a lot of you have done this install (or something similar) yourselves. So a buddy of mine, 5spd GT (on the forums), is going to be helping me. He's done plenty of H/C/I's on 5.0's (Yes I know they're different). But the only thing that is bothering me about this install is doing the valvesprings. I will have every single tool needed at my disposal.

With 2 people doing this install, taking it slowly and cautiously. Labeling every single bolt and double/triple checking everything.. Me (I have mechanical abilities, but nothing too much lol) and him doing this.. Do you guys think this is possible?

Give me the honest truth guys (and gals)!:SNSign:

im debating VT stage I or II. i love the sound of the stage II's but is that extra little bit of HP worth the money and idle/stalling problems? just curious.

do you guys know if the stage I's still sound lopey and agressive?

idle and stalling problems? I have Stage 2's that are tuned and they only stall every once in a while, not very often. It will hunt for an idle just a little, but its nothing that serious. You don't gain a whole lot of extra power past Stage 1's.. but the power drops off a little earlier with the Stage 1's.
