Cam?

I am thinking about getting a new cam and some rockers for my 5.0 ... i have this motor that i just took out of anther stang.. My motor in my car is real bad and i was just going to swap it. Now i was thinking about swapping a cam and some things while it is out og the car... I dont wanna do the heads but i want like 30 -50 more horse.. just alittle bite.. Now can you give me suggestions on what cam and rr to get or should i just put it in as is??

you might get a 30 horsepower increase maybe with a custom cam and rr's. but i doubt it. you might as well do the heads too, ur gonna have to get different springs, and screw in studs for the rr's so the heads are gonna have to be machined. to get 30-50 horsepower you'll prolly need intake (up. and low.)considering that you have the stock intake, cam with all parts associated (springs at least) and the heads ported and polished a bit. Also its reccomended that you changer ur timing chain and gears with a cam swap. Hope this helps.
