ok i have an f303 cam and i was wondering would it work (i mean pistom to valve clearance and floating valves) in my motor with the stock heads,spring and rockers. my motor is bored 40 over and has flat tops in it. i just want to know will this cam work with stock heads,spring and rockers.until i get some different heads in the future when i get the money.

Are your pistons true flat-tops, or do they have valve reliefs cut into the tops (like the stock ones)?

I don't know for sure if it will work, but this will help someone give you a good answer...

if i recall correctly they do have reliefs cut.... what is the max lift you can run on the stock heads and springs?

if the pistons are a 'factory replacement' piston from 87-95 they will work b/c they will have the valve reliefs. You can run that cam no problem if so...You will need to upgrade your valve springs though.

could i run a b or e cam without replacing springs. what cam can i run without replacing springs

You can run the B and E cam w/o changing the vavle springs. You can most likely run any cam under about 490'/500' lift w/o changine the valve springs but why would you want to? I'd consider it cheap insurance just to get a nice set.

i want a lopy idle for know. but in the future i do plan on getting some better heads.

DONT DO IT!! the springs are marginal for the B cam .. the F your way out of line!! it isnt the p/v issue.. it is the spring pressures and coil bind that is... cool??
