since im a slacker and i havent gotten the cams in my car or headers or hell a TUNE yet, im wondering if i should step up my game with a vic jr intake while im at it, and throw a 100 shot on it.. im just wondering because i got i ran side by side with a cammed/worked on lT1 this weekend, that really got me angry, but i know a good running lt can go 12's with modz..

anyway what are most of you guys putting down with ported heads and cams? or that + 100 shot?

I would focus on trap speed, and less on ET. A 300rwhp mustang can run 11's or 14's.

I seen a stock speed density foxbody run high 12's. Just had suspension and very sticky tires. It is possible.

Depends how the car is setup and if the guy can drive. I used to see a very lightly modded mach 1 ( power wise) run at NED go into the 11's and he had slightly under 300 to the wheels.

BUT he also knew how to drive, his was on 15 inch wheels with skinny's with 4.30's and his suspension was setup perfectly for weight transfer.

Stage II cams and headers should be good for 300rwhp and run upper 12s.

98cobra281, 330 rwhp, fastest run was 12.6 at 109,shifting 1000 rpms early on horrible suspension, and no weight reduction... I believe 300 can crack an 11 second pass easily.

I ran a 12.2 full interior and stock suspension....so I don't think you are going need spray unless you are lacking in the driver mod department.

In my opinion, it really depends on your suspension setup, traction, weight, and driving. I'm sure with drag suspension, a full bolt on 2v with trickflow heads cams and full exhaust could run mid to high 11s. There are full drag setups with stock longblocks and stage 1 cams that have ran 11s.

The only guy that Hitech has know of that ran 12.1 was Evan smith and that was a full suspension car that had major weight reduction. Not doubting you just saying. The reason I went with cms over Hitech was because they said that it was not capable of running 11s without major head porting or nitrous. I think that my stage 1 cms cams can perform with hitech stage 2 cams...
