I am looking into getting a set of vt stage 1 cams. Would it be a good idea to get a set of headers to help with the better flow? I would have to get set of shorty headers, because of the smog check that we have in cali, or will my stock manifolds be just as good.

well you don't have too.....but headers are better and flow more air

Why can't you have long tube headers as long as all O2 sensors are installed and functioning, as well as EGR and cats?

if you do install the VT stg1 with the headers get a real good tune and make sure you have your stock H pipe because yesterday i went to a dyno shop and they have tuned a couple of mustangs with those cams and they told me that with the stock Hpipe you be alright and be able to pass emission test cause i live in Cali toso ive been asking around to see if its possible

You need the stock H-pipe to pass Cali smog. Stock H will bolt up to BBK Tuned Length Shoty's and JBA Shorty's

....but not to a set of Long Tubes, like prsrizdgt asked. Like I said.....Cali smog rules are retarded. Even the land of sunshine and D-cups has it's faults.

03ghoststang were is the dyno shop that you went to? is it in the LA area.

kinda its near the city of Torrance the guy knows how to do dyno tunes with the predator so when i install my VT stg 1's he is doing the dyno tune for me but i also asked this mustang shop and they said the same thing a real good tune and the Stock H will get you to pass here in Cali
