First, I apologize for the quality of the audio and size of the file, but you'll get the idea - car idles and cruises great!!! Couldn't ask for more right now. There is a noticeable difference - I got on it a little (couldn't help myself) and 2nd gear is GONE w/ the 4.10's - I mean you're doing 50 like NOW.

Let me know what you think - I'll try to get higher quality video later. BTW, they're Patiot Heads and VT blower cams through a Bassani catted X & 40 Series flows. No CEL YET (fingers crossed)! Fuel Pressure is now a steady 32-33 PSI at idle (up about 3 PSI) and jumps to around 45 PSI at WOT (up from around 42 PSI).

So what kind of blower are you going to get? How about a forged bottom end? Even with the most basic blower setup, I think with P&P heads and blower cams you'll easily make enough power to annihilate the stock bottom end.

I haven't really given a lot of thought to the blower yet. I really like the torque and immediate boost the twin screws are capable of - I figure that's really where I'll want to even out the powerband, down low.Exactly my thoughts on the bottom end - the next project will probably go about the same as the heads/cams. Just start out collecting the parts. Pistons, rings, rods, bearings, gaskets... Then when it's all there look into getting it all in.

Thanks for the compliments, guys.

Twin screw + forged bottom end + P&P + Blower cams + 4.10's = x 1,000,000,000,000

That car will have to be on ET Streets any time it pulls out of the driveway. :nice:

Scott,

Thanks! We've only been saying that for about a year now. :bang: Have to find some time to hang out or head for a meet.

I just got put back on 2nd shift, it sucks. I'm at work right now. I just hope I can get this divorce settled soon, it just seems to take your life over. Hows the car feel, throttle response wise?

No problems at all - seems to take a second to come off idle, but past about 1500 RPM it takes off. There isn't any hesitation, and it's probably no different from the performance standpoint than it was before, but over 2K there is absolutely no comparison in performance - it pulls all the way to 6K and feels like it wants to keep pulling.

I'm going to take it back to Turbo Tech down in Tacoma so I can get the after numbers and a/f. My a/f gauge is pegging rich when I get on it, so I'm not too worried about it. I realize it's not a precision instrument, but I watched the gauge the last time I had the a/f checked, and I've seen what the gauge does when the car runs lean, so I've got a good feel for it. We'll see.

Have you had your car on the dyno or tuned yet? If not, maybe we can head over there and see what you're putting down, too.

BTW, sorry to hear about the divorce. I can relate - it's a tough thing to go through, man.

No I havent done either. Right now I have my EGR disconnected so I get that fault plus a to rich fault (P0172 I beleive), probably do to the EGR unhooked also. The car has had a bucking problem with the EGR hooked up but seems to run fine. I'm starting to think its a bad O2 sensor? Does Turbo Tech troubleshoot FI problems? I've checked th O2's with my scan tool and meter and they seem to be switching (voltage into the ECU) ok, but I'm not sure what I should be seing anyway. I'd like to get this fixed. I have a JMS chip in it now (autologic). I'd like to get a tune but it looks like Blood is my only choice. Take Care.

Scott,

What kind of fuel system mods have you done? Could it be a fuel pressure problem in closed loop? I believe the O2's read from .25 - 1.0V, correct? What you would probably see is wildly varying voltage as the PCM tries to find 14.6/14.7:1 A/F. I installed both an A/F gauge and Fuel Pressure gauge when I did the fuel system - both decent investments, although the overall value of an a/f gauge is questionable, you can still see it swing to rich when you go WOT.

Just a couple thoughts.

Man that pisses me off...no rev's???? I wanna hear it when you stomp it! :D

sounds f'ing awesome...i knew that cams would make the 4.6 louder at idle but that sounds about twice as loud at idle!

I have no fuel mods, just 24lb injectors that the 4V comes with.Thats about right on the voltage range, but how fast it switches determines how rich or lean it is. Origanally I was getting a buck at cruise and a P0430 fault. Cattalyst ineffeciancy fault bank 1 (no cats). I sent the chip back to JMS to make sure the MIL was turned off for a offroad pipe, they said it was. They also richened up a bit to try to fix the bucking problem. Since it didn't fix the problem they said I may have a bad O2 or wiring. I checked the wiring and its good. Also I swapped rear O2's and it made no change. I get the buck with the chip in or out, but I get both the P0420 and P0430 with no chip (catylist banks 1 and 2). Maybe one of my front ones got damaged in the motor swap. A pressure gauge (at least just for troubleshooting) would be nice to have.
