So this winter I want to do a cheap PI Camshaft install, as per this guide:
Cam Swap On SOHC 4.6 1998 GT
The problem is, I can't seem to find any PI camshafts anywhere! So here is my two part question:
1) I plan to go supercharged in the next couple of years or so. Instead of the PI cams, could I use the crower stage I cams instead for a supercharged application, or should I wait and find some PI cams? I will be running N/A for awhile, so I can't be losing power by running the wrong cams. Has anybody done this? RPM Outlet.com - 1996 to 2004 FORD MUSTANG GT CROWER Hi-lift Camshafts/Springs for your 1996-2004 V-8 Mustang
2) If I do get the crower cams, can I install them like the stock PI cams in the guide, or will I have to re-time them?
Thanks in advance!
