I am running a N/A 89 GT 5 speed. What lift and duration cam does anyone reccomend? Is anyone running B or E cams? What rockers can I use with them? I heard you cant run 1.72's with the E is that true? Who is running anything else then ford racing cams? What lift and duration? I am running an F cam now and I am thinking it is too big, too much lobe seperation for a n/a car. Trick flow intake, 70 mm tbody and egr spacer, 73 mm mass air, 24lbs injectors, regulator, fresh rebuild, cold air intake, k and n filter, msd 6al box, coil, wires cap and rotor, gt40 iron ported and polished heads, equal length shorties. Thanks

Since you're running larger valved heads (and I assume stock pistons) you want to run a cam that isn't excessive in lift and duration.

If it was my car I would go with a Trick Flow stage 1 or the tried and true E.

Get a custom cam from Jay Allen, Buddy Rawls or Ed Curtis.

That's the better option, but sometimes twice the price as the shelf grind.

I'm running the F303 in my bone stock 89. I freakin love it, I don't see why your complaining, i might go a little bigginer. but I love that cam, works great in a computer controled car, and the lope is perfect, idles right at 7-800rpm. and the power band is awsome. just my opinion though,...

Make sure your valvesprings are appropriate to the cam specs, and if you got stock or stock-spec springs make sure you upgrade them; otherwise you'll just be floating the valves over 3500RPMs

$300-350 is a small price for the horsepower gains of a cam.

Hell, most guys spend that or more on a catback.

Keep the F cam and install it at 105 ICL ( 4* advanced)
Keep the 1.72s.... If the rear gears are in the 3.73-4.11's !! IF 3.23s or 3.55 then the B cam and the 1.7's ... ORRrrr..... Put a X cam in!! sell the 1.7s and get the F cam and a set of 1.6's!! ORRrrrrr... spend 350.00 for a custom grind... possibly not go any aster and wonder why this combo costs so much!! LOL

Just me.............................
