Hey all....I have a 1995 gt mustang 5 speed that is a daily driver...I was wondering what is the best camshaft to buy that has the best combo of the following: price, smooth idle, and power boost. I am looking for a very smooth idle for a performer cam cause it is my daily driver so I want to keep the idle speed stock and all that junk. Obviously I need it to be reliable and I would love a robust boost in power....anyone have any ideas which camshaft I should choose...and in installing this cam is there anything else that would be wise to upgrade as well such as rocker arms or the sort? I greatly appreciate your guys' help!

It's not worth while to change the cam on a stock headed car. By the time you buy all the supporting stuff for a cam swap, you could have bought an intake manifold and LT's, which would give you a greater boost in power compared to a cam on a stock headed car. Our cam can go 11's in naturally aspirated form. It's actually not a bad piece at all. If your looking for a little extra umph out of the valvetrain, buy a 1.72 Crane rocker. It will raise the lift figures from .444" to .477".

If your still dead set on changing the cam, a Crower 15511, a Steeda 19, or any other cam with an LSA greater than 112, and a duration @ 0.050 less than 220 will work well as a streetable cam on stock heads.
