Can 5-6psi of supercharger damage 10:1 engine?

I would like to install a paxton 1000 on my engine which has 308 cub., 10:1 comp.forge internal, E303 cam, port/polish stock heads,edelbrock (1st generation) intake, 76 mm c&l mass w/tube,24 lbs. I know that with lower comp. engine you can put higher boost but I just want the basic supercharger. Is it possible to put 1000 on mine without problems?

a buddy of mine was running low boost on a 10:1 car without problems for a little bit. He did end up switching to a thicker head gasket to lower compression though. They say the tune is key to avoid problems with boost. good luck with it

5-6 pounds will not do anything to that engine with a good tune. the ls1 have high compression and people put sc's on them

I ran 10psi with around 9.7:1 compression on pump gas. Yes, you will not have any problems as long as you get something to retard the timing under boost (chip or controller)
