well heres the deal, after thinking that i fixed one smoking problem, another one comes up. i guesse my problem is this...my car leaks in 2 diff spots, rite under the drain plug, and about 2 inches to the rite of that. its not the drain plug, its comming from above that. so heres where the smoking comes in. every time i drive the car hard, i guesse theres oil beeing sprayed onto my exhaust which is causing the crazy amount of smoke trailing my car. as soon as im done driving it hard and i come to a stop, the underside of my car just lets up smoke, i go and look under my car and i can see oil on the exhaust and i can see smoke comming from all around the pipes, and then i look at my oil pan and i can see oil dripping. is that my rear main seal or do i have other issues goin on. both leaks are comming from inbetween the pan and the tranny. o yah and my pcv valve is on so thats not the problem. any ideas???
can a rear main seal go @ 800miles? if not im screwed

Another point worth mentioning. If you determine it is the RMS, I would make sure (before replacement) that your crankcase ventilation is up to par. If not (like the PCV screen is clogged, valve is broken, etc) then the pressure will find whatever path it can - often seals. If you hear a whistling or hissin sound (and the latter is not me) after shutting the motor off, that can be sign. But lack of noise does not mean the crankcase ventillation is up to par.

I hear a "sssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh" sound when I turn my car off. Seems to be coming from the passenger side, around by the TB. Almost sounds like a vacuum, but I've doubled checked for that.
hey thanx for all the tips guys. the first time i started to wonder about this i went and checked my pcv and it wasnt hooked up. i thought ok maybe that was the problem. but then it still did that and i checked behind the motor where it hooks up to see if there were any puddles any where but i didnt see anything. i will take a look at this closer though. i will also look for that hissing noise that hissin mentioned.
well i checked all the places u guys mentioned before i went to work. theres a lil notch behing the motor where the lower intake seal and there was a lil oil there. i ran my finger across the whole edge of it and it came out clean eccept for that one notch. it wasnt alot of oil tho, just a very tiny bit. it looked like it had been sitting there for a while. n e ways, i wiped that entire area down and tomorrow im gonna go romp on it for a minute and see if it re-appears. also, i jacked up the car to get a better look at the back of the motor. both cylinder heads are clean, the back of the motor was clean. i took the cover off that covers the clutch linckage and checked that area. the inside of that cover was covered with oil, i couldnt really get a good look into the bell housing butfrom what i could see, the clutch looked clean. so what do u guys think?

Or blowby (air leaking around the rings) which is once again normal. Even a new engine will "hiss" when turned by hand.
