I just got it yesterday and installed it.. The first thing i did was fax AFM all the specs hoping to get a start up program back yesterday or this morning. But i didn't. I have a few places to go today and tomorrow and would like to take my mustang but would feel safer if It was a little more tuned and the CEL would stay off...

I have played around with the controls and know how to adjust stuff but i am not sure what to adjust and how much...

Right now i just want a safe tune on it...

BTW: IF anybody ever gets tired of surging idle problems a tuner is the only way to go... I have had chips intill now and this thing makes them look stupid... and i haven't touched a thing on it far as tuning is concerned... just plugged it in...

BTW I have a reprogrammable diablo chip from ford chip that i got in late dec, if anybodies interested pm me...

The only thing i have done is manually set the idle and tps voltage (which BTW i don't think i really had to do manually with this 04 PMS)

PM Redsnk95 or better yet go to stangtuning.com those guys know all about the PMS.
Redsnk95 (Troy) runs stangtuning and is about as good with the PMS as it gets.

Gotcha....let me know how it turns out in the end. I hear lots of good things about the PMS, but I still think I'm gonna try the AEM.

Good Luck man...and go get that 11...or better yet that 10!!

AFM PMS

Don't expect to get your fax in 2 days... IT DON"T HAPPEN! It took mine like 4-5 days. Trying to set that thing without the fax they give you, is like "pissing in the wind" Your car will run shady, and nothing will seem right. I finally got my program set last week, and the car runs, and idles like a champ. still runs a little rich, but great none the less. Best investment I've made yet.

Don't set the RPM, cause if you activate that function, and don't have air idle set correctly, you motor will idle at like 1500-1900 rpm steady....trust me I know.been there, done that

yeah i figured that out today... Actually my car idles and is running (putting around town) really good... Actually its a lot better then the chip i had hands down...

If i could get the check engine light to come off i would be set... I have to manipulate the EGR to make the computer think its there and working... (that is the only downside i see of the pms so far, because my chip had an option to take care of that)

I have been playing with the idle a little... According to the 02's i was running pretty rich... So i leaned it out a little till the 02's showed a nice balance.

Hopefully you were able to find the "show all threads" option to view all the Programs we have listed, which is about 25 or so.....I know I have two of them listed. Anyways, if we (the site and other members) can get ya straightened out, feel free to email me and I'll do what I can to help ya as well. Sometimes I can't answer during the day like Gary (gw342) can, I can usually answer in the evenings. But we'll get ya running good, trust me, we've helped a number of cars.
