i found a good deal on some flowpaths w/ dumps from latemodel restoration supply. $189 for the 2.5 in. does anyone have the flowpath muffs w/ or w/o dumps that can explain the sound?? also, how much of a power gain can i expect with dumps?

I have the mac catback with the flowpath mufflers. They sound awesome! Nice low rumble at Idle. Mean as hell when you get on it. I get so many looks when I am really getting on it. They also don't have that "tin can" sound that flowmasters can have at times. Slight SOTP gain felt. You wont regret getting the flowpaths :D

have them dumped on my 93 along with a bassani o/r X and headers its loud enough that i can rattle dishes off my counters in the kitchen when i fire it up in the garage

No, MAC catback isn't very expensive. Actually it was one of the cheaper priced systems I looked at. It's what I eventually got, and I was trying to decide between it and SLP Loudmouth. I'm glad I got the MAC.

It's got a great sound I think. I agree with another post in this thread - it doesn't have that 'aluminum can' sound that flowmaster kind of has. It's just throaty and deep. Definitely, definitely deep. :) I'm going to get an X pipe on my system next month I hope and see how it sounds then!

yeah actually i did have them dumped once, on my last gt. it got way to loud for my taste, so i bought the full cat-back. but it did sound goooood :nice: just didn't like carrying asprin from the headaches i got after 15 minutes of driving :notnice:

I have gotten nothing but thumbs up with mine, everywhere I go everyone says I have the meanest sounding stang they have ever heard, other than full race ones. I wont hesitate to get them if I ever get anouther stang.

I got a BBK O/R Xpipe and mac flowpaths...Man it sounds wicked, I mean when i fire it up it lets out a real mean growl, sounds sweet revn it up...then run it through the gears real good and I get more attention than i ever needed (State police: "Son, i'm wiritng you a tcket because your exhaust is too loud.) But i am telling you it is the sweetest sounding exhaust I have heard. You will not regret it, get em! oh there is one draw back to my catback...allthought the chrome tips are cool, theyr only 2 and 1/2 inches,

Definetly go with the MACs. I had Flowmaster, Spintechs and Bassani. The MACs have more rumble to them and also get louder the harder you are on the throttle. To me the Flowmasters seem to mellow out anything above 3500rpm. The price is great for them and never had a bit of trouble with them. Sounds even better with some cams.
