My mods are listed in Sig, it will be on Kumho Escta MX tires which are a pretty good street tire, treadwear is 220 i think. I plan on setting my suspension up to drag settings(i know the lowering springs wont help tho), runnin the tires about 22psi. only info i know my car pulled just as hard in a rollon against this old 400ci pontiac that ran a 8.6.

Im going thursday to irwindale to run in the 1/8th against my buddy who just got a 2002 z28.

also im considering advancing the timming but i dont know if its going to make a worthwhile difference as id just would be raising it for that night only since i want to continue running 87octane

I may have the run video taped for you guys too

I think it will be close. Especially if he is stock. The mid-range to high is where that car will eat you. So you will have to get him on the launch. Remember to keep the RPM's down enough so you don't spin. Riding the clutch out a little slower than just popping it will aid in traction AND times.

IMO ... it's a driver's race since it's the 1/8th.

It depends on the camaro. I have pretty much the same mods as you on my 95 cobra. My car ran a 9.07 in the 1/8th but I could have gotten a high 8.90 have I had a chance to make some more runs. My friend's 2001 SS camaro with a air box lid borla muffler and nitto 555R's ran a 8.79 but would have run faster if he could have got the launch down. He was either blowing the tires off or bogging badly. For comparison I had a 1.98 60ft on one pass and the best he did all night was a 2.12. With any kind of traction he would have really stomped me. My fastest mph was 78 his was 86. I had the timing bumped to 14 degrees also. This should give you a idea of how you will stack up.

My friends car could easily run 8.60's when he gets the launch down. I have seen some stock ls1 cars go 8.60's but they are ussually 8.70-8.80 range.

Every video I have looked at, we take the maros off the line and hold them off for a bit until like 50mph and they start passing us.

Yep those 6 speed cars have like a 2.60 1st gear ratio and we have a 3.35. I think they do that to keep from destroying the notoriously weak rear end in those cars.

Same here only I had a little go with a vette, not sure of the year (newer model Ithink) but it had the rear/center type exhaust anyways, he had me at the 3-4 shift , we need more cubes.
