Can i install this cam with stock rollers and valve springs?

This is what the guy sent me, describing the cam he is selling for crazy cheap.

This cam is not anywhere near stock, i dont know the exact specs but it is a considerable amount larger than a stock .444 lifting cam i would estimate this as being @ least if not more then .480 thousands of lift.If you end up using 1.7 roller rockers then this cam should be a mid to high rpm monster w/ .030 more lifting capabilities which is @ least .510 and make sure you heads can handle this kind of lift. if you have stock heads you can install this cam but make sure your valve springs cam handle the lift of the cam. that's my advice.
 
stock springs are good to .500 lift, most people say to have 10% safety. so that would put you at approximately .450 with stock springs. i think they are matched good for the stock cam, i would upgrade them for that cam.

if your putting that cam in an otherwise stock engine, i dont think its worth the time/money yet.
 
so do you have any reccomendations of what i should use with this cam?? im new to this stuff and im not sure what size valve springs to get. He seems to think that 1.7 roller rockers will work, is that what the cobra uses?? Just looking for cheap alternatives.
 
cobra rockers are 1.72, so lift would be .516. Thats the same lift I have with my steeda cam. But I replace the springs in my GT-40's with steeda springs, I think they are rated at .550 lift.
 
there stock now, but it will be GT40 heads. Im going to be getting this cam for very very cheap so im not going to pass it up. I just want to know what springs and do i need different roller rockers?
 
I suggest you dont buy this cam unless you trust that person with your money. There is no reason why they cannot tell you some more info. without knowing exactly how much lift the cam has, you are just playing with disaster
 
If your using stock springs with any kind of miles on them, I would definately change them before swapping in a bigger cam. The stock springs are marginal at best on a stock cam IMO. And Im not sure that I would buy a cam from a guy that "estimates" the cam to be .480 or bigger. How does he estimate this? Dees it just LOOK that big? Deos it just SOUND that big? :shrug:
