why the hell not, like you said just cover all the electronic componants and you should be fine. might as well paint some stuff and hide some wires while its out too
Get some good degreaser(I use oileater) spray the flock out of it, then fire up your pressure washer and spray away. Word to the wise...watch out for the ac condenser and radiator-they dont like pressure washers!
