Have built 4.6 motor (TF heads, cam, TF intake). Cracked aluminum block. I am removing rotating assembly. What would be involved in transferring this rotating assembly into my stock 4.6 block?

You didn’t mention the cause for your cracked block. In any event…

If your pistons, rods and crankshaft all checkout as good, then you’ll need rod and crankshaft bearings, piston ring set and a gasket/seal set for starters.

Give everything a critical eye.

Having a hard time finding main cap BOLTS (not studs) for 4.6 L iron block. Does anyone have them? Is everybody using studs or something?

Thanks!

Well, it's a long story and just an oversight. Moved, got married all at same time. Car was garaged. New garage at new house was not finished on time. Drag car only so only water in block. Very cold winter for NC. Never crossed my mind with everything going on. Thanks for asking.

And, do I have to have bolts (not studs) with a windage tray?

I'm going to move this over to your other thread since we're talking about the [same] engine.

Gotcha. Then my previous post stands…bearings, rings, gaskets and seals.
