OK so I went up to Summit today and tried to pick up some TR6 plugs for my procharged 2002 GT, but the guy who helped me said they quit making them? I knew that this didn't sound right, but he gave me the plug that "replaced" them. It's an NGK V-Power like the TR6, but the heat range is 9 instead of 6. Can I run this plug?

I got tr6's from rpmoutlet a couple months ago. I hate rpm though so use them at your own peril. Never had a problem with detonation. I was told by the local parts counter person that they discountinued them and he tried to sell me some other model # but if you look online you will find them.

I think you got someone that needs to find another job , I havent heard about NGK not making the TR6 , still shows up on NGK.com website as a good number , try partsamerica.com and type in 4177 that is the stock number that corresponds to the TR6 plug

While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com

but if you have stock pistons , Tim Barth at Modular Powerhouse recommends using a BR7EF or part number 3346 with stock engines since it has a recessed tip that will keep some of the heat off the piston as well as its even one step colder than the TR6 .......

While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com
