can i supercharge 9.4:1 cr 347?

I have 9.4:1 compression ratio 347 with afr 185 w/ head studs. Id like to run 6-8lbs boost and 93 octane fuel not sure if my cr is to high. Tried search but nothing came up .Thanks for any input

I'm running about that same compression. Had to upgrade my ignition and run a minimum of 94 octane but runs like a champ.

Yeah you can run it. It's all in the tune. If you wanna run more PSI, then I HIGHLY recommend a Methanol Injection System.

Yes you can run a blower on 9.5 to 1 but I do have to disagree w/ the methanol. It's one more tuning headache you don't need.

Id be getting tune for sure. I have digital msd 6 al2 ignition box. Whats max non intercooled boost. Can you up the boost with a intercooled procharger?

i woulnt go more than 10 psi, anything more and your gonna have a nice SBF planter in your yard

I'm not afraid to run 18lbs (non intercooled) on a stock short block! Hell the car was 3,400 w/ the driver and went 10.35 @ 134mph. That motor lasted almost 2 seasons and the short block was straight out of the junk yard!

Well, the short block was 150$ so what the hell if it blows up, in 3 years we've only split 1 in half, an that's because a stock balancer came apart.

Ill stick with 8lbs mine cost a tad higher than $150.
