can i use a fox body eec IV in an sn95?

i was reading that the eec IV computer in the sn95 stangs are set up to be more restrictive and power robbing than the fox body eec IV...can i take the computer from an 87-93 model and simply plug it in my car to reap the benefits? or would a plug-in chip be of more benefit?..im not very familiar with aftermarket chips and the adjustments they make but i thought they just boost the timing...what would be my best move?

Best move would be a dyno tune/with chip to get the most out of what you have but it's very $$$. Pro-flow sell a PIH kit that lets you convert to a fox computer but again $$$ and not really worth it to go from one stock computer to another stock one IMO.
