My car has a Novi 1000 on it and I bought the smog eliminator kit today hoping that it will work. It's just like the motorsport one. It is supposed to bolt up just like the smog pump, but it has a free wheeling pulley on it. Does anyone use this with a supercharger and does it bolt up fine?

thanks,

Matt

If you have the smog on there now it should. They are a direct fit. My pal has one with his paxton.

I am using the smog eliminator works just fine. I dont know which brand you have? I have the upr one and it has the threaded hole to mount the altanator to. I had heard the ford motorsport one does not have this hole

I find sometimes you have to shim them to get the pullies in perfect alignment.

This one is a cheap knockoff, but it looks pretty good. One hole is threaded and the other hole is not. Just came with the pulley, bracket, a spacer and a bolt to hold the pulley on. No instructions of any kind. I'm sure once I get the charger off I will see how it mounts up. Thanks guys because now I know it will work.

later,

Matt

If you have a blower you have to have a smog eliminator or smog pump correct?? This is what i was told, its because of the the new belt setup?

The UPR products smog and AC eliminators look pretty good. I was considering picking them up at some point.

if the smog pump fits, then theres no reason the eliminator kit shouldnt. which one did you get? does your have a black plastic pully with a cast body and looks like the cresent of a moon? or a block of CNC aluminum with an aluminum pulley? if its the 1st one, the stock bolt doesnt thread into that threadded hole, go to the store and get on that fits and that is about 1 inch long. i have the first, and yea it looks cheap and its cast, but its a Ford product and is MUCH lighter than that block of aluminum one, although it is more expensive.

I have used both UPR versions and had to shim one, billet lightweight version. Pulley alignment is crucial.

Fox racer, mine is just like the first one you described. It has the black plastic pulley with the cast half moon looking bracket. So you said that I should just go get a 1 inch bolt that fits it right? I will go to the shop later and see if I've got one that fits. Thanks for the heads up on that one.
