thats good news because as some may already know, i'm in the process of my disc brake swap and my control arms seem to be in ok condition but if i do change them i want to change them with tubular global west or some opentracker arms and i just cant afford that rite now. i just wanted to make sure i can still change them later without taking off my brakes.

you can just unbolt your calipers from the bracket and keep them connected to the hydraulic lines. not a big issue.

ok cool. i misunderstood when people were telling me that I should replace them now that everything is off. I guess they said that because it would be easier.

It is easier. If you do it later you will have to pull the coil spring again to take care of the upper arm.

I just changed mine.

I`m a newbie too and this was so easy. I preassmebled all the brake stuff and just hung them on the control arms, it was quick and painless. Compressing the coils kinda scared me at first, but thats easy too once you figure out how to do it.

I guess its all going to work out for me because when i change the control arms I was also planning to put new springs and shocks.
