i'd get 3.73's if you have a manual. imo, 4.10's are too "short" for a manual tranny. i had them in my 96 gt, and i found 1st and 2nd to be almost completely useless. but 3rd and 4th were alot of fun. just my .02.

as far as other stuff, i'd say that while he is in there, you might as well have him do the other bearings in the rear end. i don't know how many miles you have on your car, but i'd guess upwards of 75K or more. the bearngs won't last forever. you can save the labor cost of having to go back into the rear for worn out bearings if you do it when the gears are installed. then you can say, "the rear is done" and not worry about it anymore. just more $.02

ok so i shouldnt bother with one of the "install kits" from gef?? because what i need should come with the gears....so thats like $140 from them...friction modifier another $5 or so....rebuild the t-lok is $50 then you said another 10-12 for the 3 seals...so that puts me about $200-$210....does that sound about right???....and Andy....is the beefed up clutch packs any more money than the regular rebuild kit???

People dont buy the traclock rebuild kit because its broken, they rebuild it because you replace all the stock stuff with new stuff, and just make it newer and better, also if your getting gears you minus well rebuild the trac lock. Thats like takin the tranny out andreplacing a stock T/O bearing and just leaving the stock clutch in there, you minus well just do it while your down there.

Also from what iv heard, alot of people do the traclock rebuild kit after 50k miles

No, when doing the 4 clutch pack set-up, reuse (1) each side of your old clutchs. The kit comes with 6 clutches, the upgrade requires 8. mine had 56K on the Trak-Loc and they where still dimensionally good or close to the new ones...I also used the stock S spring and not the F-150 one..
Mine hooks hard and no one-wheelers here...

check this link...all kinds of good info and P/Ns...

Be ready to replace the ABS sensors I think they are about 60 bones a peice but with only 67K you may get lucky and not have to

What are your total costs going to be if you dont mind me asking?? I am also going to be purchasing gears soon and I was quoted about $630 with labor... im trying to find the best price...

That's way too much. I had mine installed for $240 and bought the gears for $189. And you can get gears for alot less than $189 now.
