I've developed a little problem with my idle that is tied to my clutch. Sounds a little weird to me. i've looked through the old post but just haven't found any thing that really sounds right.

Okay I'll start out by saying that i have a a steeda adjustable clutch quadrant and a adjustable cable as well. A stock clutch i believe. i \'ve owned this car for about a year now and i haven't a problem with the clutch.... anyway i'll get to the point.

The car idles fine it doesn't surge just sits there at 800 rpms. But when i push in my clutch though it it dips to i'd say about 600rpms and and after cruising for a while like a 40 mile drive to LA or something the car will die sometimes unless i rev it while i'm stopped. I just put in a 100 amp alternator one wire hook-up but it was doing this before.

The help i would like is of course for any suggestions but also i would very greatfull if someone could run down exactly what happens when i push in that clutch and what effect it might have one other systems beside the transmission and clutch of coarse

Did You install the cable?
Sounds like a mechanical issue. When You depress the clutch, you are obviously causing something to lower Your RPM's
Inspect the linkage between your pedal and fork. Sounds like some cable flex is binding !
Do You have stock injectors?

yes currently i have stock injectors. i hate getting under dash and looking at that quadrant. i've had it since this last summer and it's tight down at the fork and it to be at a good tension. i don't really like my release point i just don't want adjust it. i'll probably mess with it a little in the morning.

yeah i think it's a mechanical problem to cause it only seems to happen if the car has fully warmed up. if i start the car and push in the clutch it's just fine.

well, acutally that switch is up o nthe clutch pedal. probaly wont be that one. i really ment to say is to check the plugs/wire on the tranny. it is there to let the eec know that the car is in gear or nuetral. i had kinda the same prob. it would idle a little high, then when i push in the clutch it would idle down about 200 rpm. then i hooked up the wires to the harness so that the ecc would know if the tranny was in gear or not. fixed that problem for me at least.
