CAN SOME ONE HELP

i have a 95 gt 5.0Lmy mass air flow sensor is gone .mY cousin has a 94 gt 5.0L i put his in to test my car ran twice as good idled perfect put back in his car 2 days later he says his car is doing the same thing mine did and he unpluged the mass air flow sensor and it did not change the way the car ran .is there any way my car could be screwing up the sensors like a bad signal to them or no???i am buying a new one tomarrow for mine but dont want to put it in if its going to get screwed up he also does not have a screen on his mass air flow sensor can thay heart it ?????????????????????any help would be aAPP

Unless the voltage is unusually high on your car, I don't see how it could harm the sensor. Not really sure what diagnosing you'll need to do, but have either you or he pulled codes, to ensure it's the MAF, not something else causing the idle problems? Our cars are 12 or 13 years old, so it's not totally uncommon for other issues to arise, right around the same time as others, and they may exacerbate the other problems. As far as there being no screen, I don't recall my factory MAF having one either, but it's been gone for a long while now.

Could it be you have a cai with a clean and oil filter

If so, have you cleaned it lately and possible over oiled the filter
clogging up both your and your cousins meter hot wires in
the electronics

yes but it worked great when i put his on my car .my car awsome full power and perfect idle before it would not idle and had no power .after i put his back on his now he is having staling problems but he still has power ???

Buy some o2 sensor cleaner from your local Pep-Boys and hose down the sensor nice and clean.

he thinks that my car killed hie mass air flow sensor i dont think so but i would like to know for sure i am going to put a new one on tomarrow .

If he is running a CAI make sure that the MAF electronic is at 12 .....I was told by a tuner that this is called clocking.....I had a idle issue but still power while driving was fine.....it fixed it.......

yes but whay is a cia ???and 12vots output of the mass air flow sensor and how could my car be puting a high voltage to the mass air flow sensor??
