Im putting my battery in the spare well on the 427 car. About to order the stuff to hook up/route the power side, and need it track legal. Since I'm going thru and cutting out any unused wiring and not using a lot of the stock '89 components (no hvac, holley ecu, 3g alt, etc) I want to make sure what I have in my head will actually work in reality.
This setup will have will a 4-post cutoff switch (moroso style) behind the the license plate, a distribution stud mounted in the spare well next to the battery box, and the stock starter solenoid will either be back there too, or in the passenger side fender. Not sure what size the charge wire from the alt should be running all the way to the back? Same 1 gauge as the starter cable, or will a 4 gauge cable work there?
