Can someone identify this shifter?

Can someone identify this shifter? I have a stock shifter on the right to compare it to. This shifter was pulled off a T5 transmission. The images are too big to post here so I posted them at http://www.linuxmall.us/mustang/shifter.htm

looks like a stock shifter with the handle pulled back using one bolt and the the handle was welded.

They are both made the same....the stampings are exactly the same

+1 Looks like the stock shifter to me also.

Yep i would have to say they are both stock one with a nice cue ball.

it looks stock...maby one is from a newer stang and that's why it looks a bit different in colour

is the throw shorter? I've heard the old 85 gt shifters have a shorter throw.....

it's got a homemade handle by the looks of things...or they took one bolt out tilted it back and welded it

It's a pre-86 T-5 stock shifter.

Pat. Pend was only on the 84-85 t-5's, after that it was patented

the one I just took out of my car looks like the other one in your pic. I went to put it in a box with the other stock one I have from a 85 GT and that one was the same as yours.

MY MGW is nice for not missing 3rd.......but than again I never did with my stock shifter

I never missed 3rd gear with my MGW either.
