Can someone identify this supercharger for me?

looks like an eaton m90, think rangers have them, hmm custom fabricated brackets doesn't look to hard to do. alot of cars have those sc's like newer grand prix's, saleens, cobras, thunderbirds, buick grand nationals

Thats the BBK blower that was also sold as the MotorSport blower for a while. It never really caught on.

It's definitely the BBK InstaCharger (I think that's what they call it). They still make it for other applications, but not a Mustang anymore. It is an Eaton, just mounted differently than you see them normally.

The blower that was sold under the FMS name was a Powerdyne, FYI.

That's an M90 right off a Thunderbird Supercoupe. The reason it is mounted like that is because it is customary to have the throttle before a roots or twin screw blower. It becomes a real pain to incorperate a bypass valve for a blowthru setup, or that's what I have been told. But this one still uses a bypass. I never understtod why the TB has to be first. Maybe the bypass can't react fast enough and you get surge.
The efficiency would not be much different from mounting it directly to the manifold. Plus this way you might be able to fit a custom air to water intercooler in there.
Plus with the blower on the side like that you can use the stock hood.
That thing will have tons of torque!
