I wanna see what some 10 holes would look with a deep dish look to them.... I've been thinking about widening some just to make my car look somewhat stock yet be able to fit a wider tire. anyone? I'm thinking about 1.5 to 2 inches

this is 88GTStreetRod's car.. It already sort of looks like they are widened.
You cant get a 'deep dish' tho, without some major work.

Man i think EVERYONE has had this idea. I wanted to do the same when i first got my car, but the cost is rediculous, not to mention if you widen the rims to make them dished, you add a ton of offset and you won't be able to fit them under the fenders. Then i got the idea of just widening them from the inside so i could mount wider tires, but then you hit the mufflers and quad shocks and whatever else.

So THEN i decided i wanted 10 hole skinnies...this one has been done by a few people and it's pretty awesome, but you still don't get any dishing with it. There's someone on here who even did a really good job of polishing them, and i've got pics to post so i appologise for not giving credit.

So eventually i just said screw it and painted mine. I ran'em for a while without center caps too. I got lots of compliments for being 10 holes. For the longest time my car had the nickname "ten hole terror" and it took me forever to shake that name, and there's still people who know my car who still torture me with it

Comes in silver, charcoal, gold and a whiteish color. That's the silver color.

thanks a lot... did you have to sand them to prep them?..... I really love the stock look of things, I painted my intake the factory color and cleaned up my engine bay to make it look stock. I did the same for the outside, painted the black molding around the doors/windows and looks factory.

Yeah, my 10 holes were actually painted when i got'em, and it was a really crappy paint job. I had to strip them down to bare metal, and i had initially intended to polish them but i couldnt see it through so i decided to paint'em again but do it right. They did flake however, so keep in mind that spraying them isn't a permanant solution for the long run. They lasted a good year without flaking though, and to me that's not bad considering it only cost about 10 bucks a wheel to get'em painted nice. Basically if you start with stock/unpainted 10 holes, you wanna strip the clear coat off with some aircraft grade stripper, then maybe sand the aluminum just slightly to give it some grain for primer to stick to. Then do a few coats of primer and wet sand it so they're nice and smooth again, then paint a few coats as directed. They also sell a clear coat to apply after you paint...but i found that it changed the look of the paint..kinda hard to explain so maybe if you do it you might wanna try it out on something seperate to see if you like it.
