Nope, drag radials are drag radials. Tires are considered 'slick' only if they come from the factory with no tread on them.

I went with a Auburn HD diff last year and Love it. it makes both wheels spin when i launch everytime and give me a great handling advantage. I can feel the torque switching between wheels...its awsome

Some good info in this thread. If you are doing mostly one-wheel burnouts then you should either get the stock one rebuilt (cheap) or upgrade.
