I'm buying an Explorer GT40 upper to go with my Cobra lower probably tonight and I need mounting hardware. Can I reuse my stock bolts to mount this intake? Also, what gaskets should I be looking for?

yeah you can use your stock bolts, but you are going to need two larger bolt to do the set, did you have in your upper explorer intake the original explorer bowl? because it have two larger bolts that i use in mine just need to cut 1 or 2" you are going to use the plenum, and the TB gaskets also the intake ones

ok the upper explorer intake have the original explorer elbow? see the picture below

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/techarticles/images/MVC-373F_JPG.jpg

in that picture is and SN95 elbow but the stock explorer comes whit an 90° elbow in that location and have a larger bolts i use that to complete the job, because the stoclk intake have just two larger bolts and the explorer have 4

just went throught the same thing. I found seven inch bolts at lowes for the middle but i also went out and purchased the 3/8 intake spacer. I am using the cobra r intake and went from the factory intake manifold.

or just two? I was looking at the pic posted earlier. I'm assuming two of the long bolts are the ones at the ends of the runners, and the other two are hidden beneath the plaque?

i said that if you have that elbow you can use the larger bolts that hold that elbow to the intake, of course you dont need that elbow, in resume you just need 4 larger bolts 2 for the midle of the intake and 2 larges for the front and rear drivers side, and two shorts for the front an rear passenger side, you all ready have two large bolts you are going to need two more of the same large to do the job
