Can you fix a broken odometer?

My odometer quit rolling and I was doing fine keeping up with it by how many times I filled up the tank but now I've lost track. lol It's only been broken for about 1500 to 2000 miles, I wanna see if I can fix it before my miles are more than I can keep up with. Any advice?

Its a 98, so its the old school roll odometer.

You sure can fix it! This is from 94-95 Tech, but the clusters are essentially the same, and I'd imagine the procedure would be identical: http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/605742-pictorial-guide-odometer-gear-replacement.html

Yeah. You can. I have an extra one with 67k on it.

Thanks! Its a pretty straight forward guide. I'm gonna check out his site and order what I need.
